Through a combination of outstanding talent and an inspired relationship Nitu and Mahesh Gadhvi have become one of the most popular Indian artists to perform to audiences in the UK and across the world.
Ever since he was a ten year old boy Mahesh has been performing on stage and emulating the style of his icons – Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh and Kishorekumar. Following the success of his early record ‘Aap ki Pasand’, in which he sang the most popular song of his career ‘Ghungroo Tut Gaye’, Mahesh released his second album ‘Teri Yaad Ayee’, which went on to storm the charts. Following this, he released an EP record in Mumbai under the music direction of Hridaynath Mangeshkar of Ghazals and Geets with EMI India.
Singer/songwriter Nitu heavily credits her ethnic background and childhood for spawning her creativity as a female and as an inspiring musician. Nitu’s parents instilled a hardcore work ethic during her upbringing which to this day is reminiscent through her show stopping performances. Nitu has also performed with Lata Mangeshkar at the Royal Albert Hall.
The famous duo’s paths crossed in London when they found they both shared a passion for music. The two performed their first official concert together at the Commonwealth Institute in Kensington, London.
